Hotel Montana Bed & Breakfast is a Victorian 'Twilight Zone' on the historic Yellowstone Trail where the road weary cowboy or traveler will feel like they travel back to the 1900's the moment they step into the antique filled old west saloon on the ground floor. The step back in time is enhanced even more as the traveler checks into one of the elaborate and elegant rooms upstairs complete with period style costumes and a full bath in each room. An intimate central parlor filled with antique finishings and a fireplace provides hours of relaxing conversation and a large variety of board games, puzzles and old books for the guests who want to just kick back. Many more adventurous guests enjoy dressing up in the old west costumes found in their rooms and venturing downstairs to the Wild Horse Saloon where they can belly up to the antique oak backbar and order their favorite freshly brewed microbrew beer or one of the many bottled specialty beers or wine while acting out their favorite old west characters from the TV or movies. A player piano, 60 inch screen TV and VCR are available for the guests use in the saloon area also. Local talent, area bands and talented guests of the hotel are often invited to entertain on the stage in the saloon. Guests are encouraged to bring their talents with them and share. For the guests wishing to venture out of the building during their stay, the beautiful Yellowstone River is a short 10 - 15 minute hike or even shorter drive from the hotel providing excellent trout fishing, bird watching, picnicking, swimming or rafting at the Indian Fort Fishing Access complete with boat ramp, picnic tables, fire pits and outhouses. When the guest get back to town they may find themselves swapping tales and jokes with the locals, shopping for antiques, or just relaxing on the front porch while watching the slow-paced lifestyle of Reed Point pass by. Yellowstone National Park is about 1 1/2 hours away through the entrance at Gardiner, Montana. An area rodeo can be found many weekend during the summer and horseback riding can be arranged for guests with advance notice. Hunting, rafting and fishing guides are also available.
Hotel Montana has added a cabin in the backyard which will sleep up to 10 people, complete with kitchen facilities, full bath and air conditioning. The cabin is available by the night or by the week. Call for rates and reservations for the cabin.
Directions: Hotel Montana is located in Reedpoint, Montana, a small rural town of 110 people in south central Montana right off Interstate 90 between Billings and Bozeman. The closest major airport is Logan International Airport in Billings, the largest city in Montana, 56 miles east of Reed Point. All major car rentals are available at the airport. Once you exit the Interstate into Reed Point (their is only one exit) the hotel is easily found at the end of the tiny 4 block long main street. The hotel is a two story building on the east side of the street - you can't miss it!
