The Western Heritage Center, a regional history museum, interprets and reflects Yellowstone River Valley life. Located in the former Parmly Billings Memorial Library building, a stately Richardsonia Romonesque building listed on the National Register of Historic places, the Western Heritage Center features Our Place in the West, an interactive exhibit exploring the Yellowstone region. It also features changing exhibits and summer outreach programs to Native American and historic sites which include the Little Big Horn National Monument and Battlefield, the Crow Indian Reservation, and the Northern Cheyenne Reservation.
