The O Spear Guest Ranch, Ltd. is open year round. The Elgin Family is the third generation to live on the original homestead on the Little Powder River. It was homesteaded by Ted's grandfather in 1890. The ranch has always been stocked with cow and sheep and raises crops of alfalfa hay and seed, wheat and other grains. The ranch provides the perfect opportunity to experience life on the ranch.
The guest houses are open to accommodate those who wish to stay overnight or longer. The guest houses are fully modern and decorated with country atmosphere you will enjoy. Photos depicting ranch life and people of yesteryear are hung in the guest houses.
Fall and winter bring the time for winter fun activities and hunting.
Enjoy returning each night to the porches and watching the sunset and the beautiful evening skies. It is truly the Big Sky Country.
Directions: The O Spear Guest Ranch, Ltd., is located at the 11 mile marker on Highway 59 between Broadus, Montana and Gillette, Wyoming. It's ranching country for miles and miles. located within a few hours of the guest ranch are: Devils's Tower Monument, Historic Deadwood (famous for it's gambling casinos and rich history, Battle of the Big Horn (Custer's last stand), Mount Rushmore National Monument and the Black Hills both of South Dakota. Airports are located in Gillette, Wyoming 68 miles Rapid City South Dakota 150 miles, or Billings, Montana 200 miles.
