High Country Discovery invites you to come and discover the beauty and history of southwest Montana's High Country. Guided day tours are tailored to fit your interests - be it wildflowers, native uses of plants, birds, wildlife or historical sites. Follow the path of Lewis & Clark from Beaverhead Rock to Lemhi Pass where they crossed the Continental Divide. View and photograph meadows, streams and rivers of the Big Hole Valley and the majestic Pioneer, Tobacco Root and Gravelly Mountain Ranges. Visit pioneer ghost towns and other historical sites including Bannock, the first territorial capitol of Montana. Dig for quartz crystals or take a dip in soothing hot springs. Your guide is Catherine Cain, a Ph.D. zoologist with extensive experience in leading natural history tours for university and nature organizations. The entire family will enjoy the beauty of the Big Sky country. Children are welcome on High Country Discovery Tours with a wide range of natural history activities especially designed for children. Transportation and a gourmet picnic lunch are provided for all tours. Day hikes are available upon request. Call 267-3377 for information or reservations.
