The Log Cabin Cafe was built in 1937 by local loggers and has been a restaurant since that time. Come and enjoy our home cooking. A friendly staff is ready and waiting to serve you. The caf‚ has a wonderful collection of antiques to look over and enjoy. The third owner's, Kay and Cecile King, have operated the cafe since 1977. In 1990, the Bed & Breakfast cabins were bought to accommodate returning family and friends. The cabins were built in the late 1930's. Kay and local crafters refurbished the cabins. Each cabin has two log double beds with easy access to the shower house and bathroom. Upon arrival in Silver Gate, you are surrounded by the majestic Absarokee wilderness and the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy the crisp, clear days and nights, easy access to hiking and biking trails, fishing, camping, and pristine beauty. Guests may check in after 3:00pm, check out is 11:00am. We can only accommodate children 8 years old and up. This is a nonsmoking establishment. Cafe is open from 7:00am to 10:00pm daily. .Travelers from the Cody, Wyoming area can access Silver Gate north on Wyoming Highway 12, then northwest on Highways 296, the ""Chief Joseph Scenic Byway"". Those coming from Yellowstone Park can travel east from the historic Roosevelt Lodge, through beautiful Larmar Valley to the Northeast entrance and Silver Gate
