While walking through the hills or riding horseback, you may share the trail with mule deer, antelope, coyote, fox, bobcat, or prairie dog. Mornings are filled with the sounds of meadowlarks singing and the sights of various other varieties of birds. The prairie is home to turkey, sharptail grouse, sage hens, pheasant, hawks and eagles to name a few. Experience the true western life. Depending on the time of year you visit, you could have the opportunity to help with the day to day ranch work. Ride horses to round up and trail cattle, give a helping hand during calving, branding,or shipping the cattle. No matter what time of year, guests will be invited to share the experience of true western life. Guests at Bayhorse Ranch will have the option of sleeping in a cowboy teepee, just like cowboys did 50-100 years ago or stay in more modern accommodations inside the lodge. Traditional home-cooked meals will be prepared and are included in the package. Guests will be treated to home raised beef and authentic Western cuisine. Guests at Bayhorse Ranch are provided with horses, meals, and lodging. We work with small groups so as to allow you to experience the true cowboy's way of life.
