Helena's Shining Mountains Speedway brings in street stick, super stock, sprint and modified stock-car racers from around the state. Formerly the Capital City Speedway, it is now owned by Dan and Barbara Mann of Great Falls. Racing season is from May through September.
The speedway has grandstand seating for 1,000 people and concessions including beer and wine coolers.
The gates open at 5 pm and racing starts at 7:00pm.
Directions: Shining Mountains Speedway is located east of Helena, just northeast of Walmart off Carter Drive and rock Ledge Street.
