The Liberty Village Arts Center is a unique place to visit in Chester, due to the history of the building and the fact that it is still in operation. Built in 1910, this renovated Catholic Church is the only Arts and Cultural Center for over a 60 mile radius. The Arts Center still has the original 1910 floor and ceiling along with the original outside appearance. The arts center provides visual art shows featuring various artists, from Chester to New York City. Workshops, and children activities are held almost every month. Admission is free and we do feature the 'Village Square' gift shop for that unique gift or souvenir from mostly Montana artists. If visiting Chester in December- stop by for our famous Teddy Bear Tea, during the annual Christmas show. Several exhibits will be hosted this season.
Directions: The Liberty Village Arts Center is located in Chester at 400 South Main Street, 4 blocks south of Highway 2. (turn at the USDA Building on the corner of Highway 2 and Main Street)
