The Northern Rockies Heritage Center is a growing museum, cultural and educational center. Organizations located at the center include the Montana Natural History Center, the Rocky Mountain Museum of Military History, the International Wildlife film Festival, the Missoula Community Dispute Resolution Center and the Outdoor Writers Association of America. Also at the Fort on adjacent property is the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula and the Fort Missoula Outdoor Amphitheater. The Heritage Center is an architecture museum in itself based on military buildings of mission style architecture with arts and crafts interiors. Exhibits at the various museums and centers change periodically. Admissions to NRHC sites are presently free. Lodging and restaurant are located adjacent to the south edge of the Fort. Fort Missoula also has two 18 hole golf courses just next door to the NRA Campus. Directions: The Northern Rockies Heritage Center is located at historic Fort Missoula on the southwest corner of Missoula. Access us from Highway 93, which passes just east of the Fort on Reserve Street at South Avenue from Interstate 90, take the Highway 93/Reserve street Exit, south about 5 miles to Fort Missoula.
