Western Romance Company provides history, geology, cowboy culture, music, motor coach welcomes and chuck wagon meals. Motor coach meets covered wagon train out on the prairie. It is a serene place where you can imagine how it was for early settlers. Forget about city lights, city sights and noise. The chuck wagon camp has the buildings that were used to make the Movie 'Far and Away'. Some of our cowboys were actually used in the making of the movie. You will hear western Rocky Mountain music and plenty of it. Cowboys can sing as well as they ride. The Wagon train is accompanied with outriders as well as wagon team drivers. Depending upon the time of day this specialty tour is scheduled, the meal may vary. Steak, eggs, fruit, fry bread, coffee or juice is the breakfast menu. Steak, ribs, fry bread, cowboy beans, fruit salad, coffee or juice is the usual evening meal. Early morning is recommended because the morning sunlight is so beautiful and the prairie is nice and cool. Spend the night in Billings area, and on your way to the Custer Memorial and Gary Owen,you get your breakfast served in this beautiful setting. What a way to start your day. Folks on this adventure always say that this is the highlight of their trip. Many tour guides keep this adventure as a surprise treat. In reverse, if you are coming from east to west you might want to pick this adventure for your evening meal. Closed toe shoes, hat, water bottle, sunscreen and protective clothing are recommended for mornings and evenings. September mornings and evenings may require light jackets.
