Little Blackfoot River Retreat is situated with the Little Blackfoot River just outside the window and within minutes of some of North America's best back country recreation, this is a peaceful place -- warm and relaxing. You can watch the fish and birds, listen to the wind in the trees and enjoy some of the best the Mountain Country the West has to offer. Too big to be called a cabin, too private for a traditional lodge, built for business use in mind yet cozy like a vacation home. The retreat was built on the river, on 20 acres of secluded, private property. It was built in 1986 to accommodate weekend groups, conventions and business meetings. Its purpose was to also provide a perfect location for family reunions and raising children. The frequent compliment of the retreat is how completely furnished it is. Guests need only their personal belongings and food. There are plenty of inside toys, games, books, videos and outside toys: horseshoes, croquet and sleds. The Little Blackfoot River Retreat is a secret fishing spot for locals. It is a spring fed river, home to the protected West Slope cut-throat trout. The Little Blackfoot River is open to fishing year round and locates the fly fisherman close to several Blue Ribbon trout fisheries.
