Built into the hillside, well above Big Sky's Meadow Village, this home has an architectural style reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright. There are tiled and pile floors throughout most of the home, lovely antiques, tasteful artwork and the very best amenities. The home is on sixty private acres, and about two miles on quiet dirt roads from the heart of Big Sky.
The home has four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms and additional sleeping space in the lower level. The master bedroom is a dream, with a canopy bed and lots of windows to enjoy the views. The private master bath has a very large tub and separate shower, vanity counter, commode and bidet. There is a second master bedroom with a beautiful queen size brass bed, wonderful views and a private bath with a glass shower. The third bedroom has a French-style double bed for people under five feet tall. There is a full bathroom, tub and shower, in between these two bedrooms.
The kitchen has a large Traulsen stainless steel refrigerator, plus another full size refrigerator in the pantry. The Wolf gas range has six burners, a separate grill, a bread warming drawer and a double oven. There are two sinks in the kitchen, each with disposals. The kitchen also has all the other amenities such as a microwave, coffee maker and plenty of high quality cookware and serving ware.
There is a breakfast room/living area off the kitchen with a table that seats up to six. There is a wonderful river rock fireplace with a sofa and a few chairs for warming yourself in front of the fire. There are doors out to the deck in case you would like to have your coffee out in the sunshine. There is a half bath off to the side of the breakfast room.
There is another river rock fireplace in the living room, with a few comfortable sofas. The views of Lone Peak from the living room are amazing! There are huge windows to enjoy the views in every directions. Off to the side of the living room is a den/TV room with a wrap-around couch, television, VCR, and a nice video collection.
This home has hiking and biking in the summer, and cross country skiing and sledding in the winter. Plus, it's just five minutes from a few favorite Big Sky restaurants, as well as the Big Sky golf course.
