The unique red buses used by the Glacier Park Tours of Going-to-the-Sun Road are both a symbol of Glacier National Park and a reminder of a time when adventurous travel was done with style and grace. The vintage sedans were called 'jammer buses' by the locals. The name was carried over from the days when the buses had standard transmissions and the drivers could be heard 'jammin' the gears as they drove up and down the rugged and spectacular Going-to the-Sun Road.Numerous Scenic Interpretive Red Bus Tours are offered throughout the park from mid-May to early October. Telephone or log on to our website to find out more about these unique tours.
Directions: Tours depart from Lake McDonald Lodge, Village Inn, Many Glacier Hotel, Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, Rising Sun Motor Inn and Glacier Park Lodge.
