Join paleontologist Joseph Hatcher's 2005 Dinosaur Research Expedition in the Badlands of Montana. Located near Jordan Montana SR200, the expedition runs 7 days a week from June through August, in an area of the Hell Creek Formation which many claim the 'Dinosaur Capital of the World'. PWRF offers one of the few real public dinosaur expeditions where your participation is 100% hands-on. With special emphasis on kids, families, students, and dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages, are welcome to participant work along side PWRF staff and participant in a genuine scientific dig. This is not a tour! Choose a 7 days 6 nights dinosaur adventure or our 'Dig-for-a-Day' program. With either program you actually participate as a PWRF research field team member. You will learn and participate in actual field techniques in the collection of 65 million-year-old Late Cretaceous dinosaur fossils like the Triceratops, Hadrosaur, and the mighty T-rex. You will assist in prospecting for new specimens, excavating, plaster jacketing, fossil removal, quarry mapping, preparation techniques in our field lab, fossil identification, and history of the famous Hell Creek Formation .Be a part of the discoveries in the science of dinosaur paleontology.
