The Creek House is the upper level of a 2 story duplex that overlooks and is surrounded by Spring Creek*. It is open all year and sleeps up to 6 people. Special rates are available for families, groups, events or stays of 3 days or longer. The Creek House offers 2 bedrooms (one large with Queen bed, one small with Single bed), one bath, a kitchen which opens into a large living room and a separate dining room. Windows offer a beautiful view of the valley from each room. It is fully furnished with linens, kitchen utensils and small appliances. Cable TV and VCR are available as well as laundry facilities. All this is newly remodeled and available through a private entrance. Well behaved pets are welcome inside. A kennel and dog house is also provided, if you prefer *Spring Creek - A blue ribbon trout stream, Spring Creek has a temperature of 52 degrees all year. Big Spring is its major source, just a few miles away. It is identified by the EPA as one of the purest springs in the US and supplies water to Lewistown without treatment. Lewistown's water does not see the light of day until it flows from the faucet. Fish Wildlife and Parks estimates that Spring Creek holds 2-3,000 trout per mile, 'expect to draw rises from rainbows averaging 15 inches and up to 3 lbs., as well as browns as high as 5 lbs.' This creek, which runs through Lewistown, is 31 miles long and a small portion of the creek is Catch and Release only. Lewistown hosts Cowboy Poets Gathering in August, the Chokecherry Festival in September and the Charlie Russell Chew Choo. The Lewistown Art Center is a must to see with their infamous sand sculptures, and also the 90 foot diameter Community Labyrinth Flower Garden in Frank Day Park. Plan to take time to walk it, as it is beautiful. Hunting for mule deer, white tail deer and elk are popular in the area, as well as pheasants, grouse and wild turkeys. Hiking can be accessed all around and cross country skiing when snow conditions permit. Two golf courses provide you with spectacular views and reasonable rates. There are also many tennis courts available close by. .From the corner of First Avenue and Main Street (Highway 87 and the MRC Service Station), turn South. Drive just 3 miles, going past Albertson's on your right. First Avenue then turns into Upper Spring Creek Road. Continue to Chokecherry Lane on your right, where there are 5 mailboxes and a Creek House sign, also a 3 mile marker. The Creek House is the first house on your right. Please turn into the parking area to the right as you enter the driveway.
