Wilderness Edge Retreat is located on the historic 'Neely Ranch', an early cattle operation in the Madison Valley. It is nestled between fir and aspen covered hills with a spring-fed creek running through the site. Access to Cliff Lake and surrounding forest provides ample opportunity for canoeing, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. For the fly fishing enthusiast the famous Madison River is only a short distance away. Cliff Lake is a beautiful, glacier formed jewel that supports a pristine trout habitat. Next to Cliff Lake is Wade lake, known for record Browns. Hebgen and Quake Lakes are in close proximity along with other blue-ribbon trout streams. Yellowstone Park with its' many fishing hot-spots is only a short drive away. Guests have access to a number of trails that lead to high mountain lakes and beautiful scenery. Wildlife viewing runs from many species of birds to moose, elk, deer, bear, and otter. For fishing and exploration, guests may rent small motor boats, canoes, float tubes and mountain bikes. Horseback rides and tours can be arranged with local outfitters, and fishing guide services may be booked at the resort. Wilderness Edge Retreat can accommodate vacation guests, family reunions, and weddings. We can tailor your individual or group needs to what our facility has to offer. Reservations may be made by calling 406-682-4611 and should be confirmed within 10 days with a 50% deposit. A 14-day cancellation notice is required for a deposit refund. Summer Season runs from Memorial Day to the end of September but guests can be accommodated on other dates subject to certain restrictions.
