McKenzie Expeditions is a statewide fly fishing outfitter based at Rock Creek. Centrally located to all the headwaters of the Missouri River and Clark Forks of the Columbia. Tours include daily and overnight trips with First Class riverside camps, great western lodges, historic hotels, hot springs, guest ranches and many private guest cabins. In drift boats and rafts, float, wade and enjoy what Montana has to offer. Robert McKenzie worked in the 1980's and 90's out of the Montana Trout fitters Orvis shop in Bozeman where he guided Montana's famous, and not so famous waters. Tours included the Paradise Valley, Spring Creeks, private lakes and Yellowstone National Park. At his home up Rock Creek he now has the opportunity to promote and outfit from a fly fishing retreat with guest cabins in the mountains of Western Montana. Special Fly Fishing Historical Tours 2003-2006: Plans have been on-going for special fly fishing historical tours that center around the 200th year bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Tours are offered that follow 'The Trail,' fly-fishing these famous blue ribbon waters, exploring the same valleys and mountain ranges explored by Lewis and Clark. A historian will fill the days and nights with great interpretations of the journals and Lewis & Clark lore. All along the trail there are many historical places, side trips of museums, Lewis & Clark Caverns, whitewater trips, horseback riding and even mountain bike riding. So come along and celebrate the 'Corps of Discovery' and one of America's greatest adventures. Lewis & Clark spent more time and covered more miles in Montana than any other state. Born and raised on the Jefferson River, Robert grew up hearing all the Lewis & Clark lore. Now you can have the pleasure to explore and enjoy this Bicentennial celebration and the opening of the WEST! Customized tours are available from First Class to roughing it style camps. Al Carte to all-inclusive. A chef will spoil you with great cuisine from buffalo to antelope, seafood to hand cut steaks and all the trimmings. Dates can be set to match Historical dates and places.
