Flathead Cottage, nestled among tamaracks, towering pines and fragrant cherry orchards, is a charming and spacious 3 bedroom home ideal for your vacation. Located on the shore of Flathead Lake, the cottage is just 12 miles south of Kalispell and a short 45 minute drive from Glacier National Park. Flathead Valley boasts the best of fishing, skiing, hunting, golfing and many other activities. This quiet 3000 sq. foot home is within walking distance from a public beach and boat ramp and the town of Lakeside.
Sleeping arrangements include three bedrooms; two with queen beds, one with twin beds that can be converted to a king size bed, a sitting room off one bedroom that has a day bed and a queen size futon and a double size futon in the basement rec room, with the cottage comfortably accommodating 6-12 people. There are two full baths, one on the first floor and one on the second floor. All linens are supplied and maid service is available upon request. A washer, dryer, ironing board and iron are available for guest use.
A gourmet kitchen fully equipped with a Viking gas range, large refrigerator with ice maker, microwave and dishwasher await if cooking is your pleasure. The kitchen comes furnished with cookware, condiments and place settings for 12. A wide variety of restaurants are within a short drive if eating out fits your needs.
Enjoy your favorite movies or music in the large living room furnished with cable TV, DVD/VCR. stereo system, large screen TV, board games and puzzles. Snuggle up in front of the large river rock fireplace and enjoy views of the lake. The dining room has a long family style table that seats 12 and features a grand piano for your enjoyment.
Lovely English style gardens surround the cottage on 1.6 acres.
a hammock for relaxing and even a tree house. A two car, open garage is available for car or boat storage. A BBQ grill, picnic table and furniture are located on the stone patio outside the kitchen. You will find ample storage space for golf clubs, skis and toys in the mud room next to the kitchen.
It is easy to get to the cottage. Fly into Glacier International Airport, a short 15 mile drive or take Amtrak into Whitefish, just 30 miles to the north. We are 106 miles north of Missoula on Highway 93 if you are traveling by car.
Directions: Flathead Cottage is located 12 miles south of Kalispell on Highway 93 at mile marker 99.
