Loop days keep you very busy. Take time for picture taking, geysers, thermal pools, elk, deer, buffalo, bear, wolves and birds on beautiful wild flower meadows, streams and mountains. Then return to this western rustic town at your leisure for a comfortable nights rest. While here, walk the town and enjoy the many gift shops, excellent eating and dining places, a city park, an IMAX Theatre, the Grizzly Discovery Center and Wolf Preserve, the Museum of the Yellowstone and a summer playhouse theatre, all within several blocks of the motel. Also available for your enjoyment is boating on the lakes or horseback riding on the many nature trails. Ten miles west to the Continental Divide you will find snow year round, along with excellent fishing for brown, rainbows or natives. As you commune with nature in the great outdoors you will find it hard to believe that during the winter months six to seven feet of snow and 48 below zero temperatures prevail. During the winter the town comes alive with snow buffs of all types from aggressive snowmobile racers to those who wish to do their own thing. So bring a jacket as the evenings can be cool after the days warm to 75 to 80 degrees. Elevation is 6,666 feet. Come by bus, fly, or drive your car. Once here, you may wish to hike on any of the thousands of miles of trails to enjoy the scenic splendor of the Big Sky Country.
