Webster's dictionary defines bailiwick as 'one's special domain.' Our home is our bailiwick, and we invite you to see why. Situated on six rural acres just three miles east of Bigfork, we have monarch cottonwood trees to provide cooling shade in the summer. There's an unobstructed view of the Swan Mountain Range. For a slow-paced stay that may provide you a glimpse of wild turkeys wandering through the yard or deer raiding the apple trees, and even a rare glimpse of a black bear, this is it. Our nonsmoking rooms on the guest level are graciously appointed for your comfort. The bathroom is spacious. The sitting room offers a comfortable lounging area with a television, or 'borrow' a book from our private library. It is an easy walk to the Swan River, where you can launch your canoe or take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water. Or you can use the River Trail (no motorized traffic allowed) to walk to Bigfork about 2 1/2 miles. and if that tires you give us a call and we'll pick you up and drive you back to the farm. Situated on Flathead Lake, Bigfork is just a five-minute drive away. Shopping is the finest; dining, some of the best in Flathead Valley. At Wayfarer's State Park you have access to swimming and picnicking on the shores of the lake. And the Bigfork Playhouse offers talented performers in a variety of plays and musicals throughout the summer. Glacier National Park is less than an hour's drive away, or hike the local trails to hidden lakes and pristine meadows. Breakfast at the farm varies with the season. Huckleberry pancakes, French Toast, fresh baked muffins, sweet rolls or biscuits, ham'n'eggs, fruits, juices. Something different every day to get you off to a good start. We hope you'll find it's your bailiwick, too.
