The Orphan Girl Theatre produces a season of at least five plays and musicals in its 106-seat theatre, offers educational workshops, and participates in events throughout the community. In order to keep fresh talent coming through the door, the OGT presents an annual ""new faces"" play to which only newcomers may audition. Once a year, the teens of the Orphan Girl produce an issue-driven drama. Each summer, a month-long camp teaches classes from beginning performance to advanced production. The year is capped with a full-scale musical, co-produced and presented on stage in the 1200-seat Mother Lode Theatre. Directions: Located in the uptown district of Butte, the Orphan Girl Theatre is a beautiful 106-seat theatre in the basement of the Mother Lode Theatre. The building, originally a Masonic temple built in 1923, now houses two of Montana's finest theatre venues. Upstairs is the Mother Lode Theatre and now downstairs in the same facility a beautiful, fully-equipped theatre, the Orphan Girl Theatre.
