'Sunday House' is a cozy, fully modern house which our family enjoys and we offer it to families, fishermen and bird hunters for vacation rental. This newly renovated, 80-year old house, with 4 bedrooms and one bathroom, sleeps six (there are two rooms and three beds on the second floor and two bedrooms and three beds plus the single bath on the first floor). The kitchen is fully modern with a southwestern flair and includes a refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher and is completely outfitted with dining and cooking accouterments. The kitchen is open to the dining and sitting area, which has a stone fireplace at one end. There is an additional, fully furnished 'back room' with TV and gas fireplace/stove. The house is heated with gas heat from a brand new furnace. The washer and dryer are commercial size and are located in a separate room off the kitchen. There is also a fully fenced back yard and a charcoal grill. Ennis is a small, typical rural ranching community of about 900 people. It is a classic small western town with very friendly people and a quiet disposition. Ennis is located on the famous Madison River and is within easy distance of several other well known trout streams. There is almost every amenity which one would need, including several restaurants offering a variety of very good dining, several antique and art galleries and two outstanding fly shops. The latter have an ample list of fishing guides and/or car shuttle service from various fishing access points. The shops also publish daily fishing reports with suggested locations and equipment, which is currently being productive. No one is ever reticent to share information and experience. For those interested in other activities, there are close to 3 million acres of public land with free access to trails, lakes, streams, wildlife and forests. Activities include birding, hiking, biking, horseback riding, golf, tennis, swimming, canoeing, rafting, tubing and others can be found. There are numerous historic areas such as mining and ghost towns, which provide an adventure just in finding them. Virginia City and Nevada City are just 15 miles to the west. They both offer some of the finest examples of early western culture that can be found anywhere. In addition, Yellowstone National Park is within a days travel .
