Fly fishing Montana -- the Madison, Gallatin, Yellowstone, Big Hole, Bighorn, Missouri, Jefferson, Beaverhead, Bitterroot -- some of the big name Western rivers are here, waiting for your cast.Headwaters Guide Service will work hard to make your trip to Montana one you'll remember. We are not a big outfit and don't want to be. We specialize in personal service and take pride in our ability to help you enjoy your fishing while improving your technique. Whether you go by driftboat, raft or canoe, our guided day floats let you cast to every hot spot, bank-side pocket, or boulder while we skillfully line you up for the next piece of quality water. If you like stalking some crafty sippers on foot, take a walk-wade trip and spend a day leisurely prospecting in the riffles, pools, and channels of selected smaller streams or one of several famous spring creeks. Our river-wise personnel represent the best mix of experience and expertise. You won't get a guide off the rack; instead, you'll be teamed with a Cunningham and, if your group is large, some of our outfitter friends. We know the local hatches and will teach you the fishing techniques that work on western waters. We can hone your cast, point out the special bug du jour, train your eye for the water, lay out a lunch you won't forget and fill the slow moments with some river history. At Headwaters, we will practice catch-and-release angling and respectfully ask that you help.
