Open year round, the Glendive Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture offers valuable tourist and visitor information abut the local area. Montana and other states' brochures may also be obtained from their outstanding inventory. The staff is more than willing to tell you about the moss agates that can be found in the Yellowstone River that meanders through Glendive. Or pick up information about some of our local attractions; Makoshika State Park (the largest state park in Montana, celebrates Buzzard Day each May) has a Visitor's Center that takes you on a paleontology journey back to dinosaur days where a triceratops skull makes his new home, the Frontier Gateway Museum, the Art Gallery, Hollecker Lake with its life size triceratops, and the Bell Street Bridge and Historic Downtown District listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Outdoor enthusiasts can watch the Milky Way and count shooting stars through the clear air, hunt or watch deer, antelope and birds, or enjoy a working cattle drive or rodeo and relive the old west. Or come and experience paddlefishing in the spring. If you are fortunate enough to catch a 60 pound paddle fish, you will remember the adventure the rest of your life! These and other unique attractions will draw you to Glendive year after year!
