Dorr Skeels Campground is located in Kootenai National Forest adjacent to Bull Lake in a beautiful mountain setting approximately 2 miles from the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness boundary. It is at an elevation of 2,200 feet. It contains 7 campsites. Boat ramp, picnicking, buoyed swimming beach (no lifeguard). Fish species include eastern brook and rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, and large mouth bass. The Ross Creek Scenic Area, a grove of giant cedars nestled in a rain forest-type setting, is located approximately 7 miles from Dorr Skeels. For those visiting the cedars, a designated parking area is available for trailers and large recreational vehicles. Space restrictions to not allow for larger and pull-type units. Restrooms and water. The maximum trailer length accessible to the campground is 32 feet. The duration of your stay may not exceed 14 days. Directions: From Troy, take US Highway 2 east for 3 miles, turning south onto Montana Highway 56. Follow this road for 13 miles to the recreation area.
