Bowman Lake Campground is located in Glacier National Park in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 4,500 feet, the campground encompasses 5 acres. There are 48 campsites provided with restrooms and water. Backcountry trails in the area are wonderful for backpacking. The lake is accessible by secondary road. Fishing, swimming, and boating may be enjoyed at the lake. A boat launch is nearby. Fishing is fair for cutthroat, Dolly Varden and whitefish. Trailers are permitted; however access roads are unimproved and towed units are not recommended. The maximum recommended trailer length for this area is 22 feet. Primitive camping is allowed until closed by snow. Please limit your stay to 7 days. You will be asked to pay a small fee for the use of this campground. Directions: Bowman Lake Campground is located at the foot of Bowman Lake in the northwest corner of the park, 7 miles northeast of Polebridge.
