At an elevation of 3,500 feet, Lost Johnny Point Campground encompasses 6 acres. This campground, located in Flathead National Forest in northwest Montana, is made up of 2 separate sections about a half a mile apart on the shore of the Hungry Horse Reservoir. Hungry Horse Reservoir is more than 30 miles long and varies from 1 to 4 miles wide. It is a very beautiful body of water in some rugged country. The first section has 5 units in timber. The second section features 21 sites on a fairly steep hillside and in very thick timber. This is a popular spot for boaters. It is a well developed camp with a boat ramp and swimming. Fishing is also a popular activity in this area. This campground is wheelchair accessible. Pets are welcome at the campground, too. This camp is a good alternate if camps in Glacier Park are full. Campsites are equipped with water and restrooms. There are lots of hiking trails in the area. The maximum trailer length recommended is 40 feet. The fee for the use of this campground is $10 a day. The day use fee is $3. Please limit your stay to 14 days. Directions: Located 9 miles south of Hungry Horse on Forest Service Road 895 (6 miles south of Hungry Horse Dam on paved road).
