Grouse Mountain Lodge has 145 rooms and is located near Glacier National Park, Whitefish Lake, Flathead Lake and Big Mountain Ski and Summer Resort. We are adjacent to the 36th Fairway of the Whitefish Lake Golf Course in Whitefish, Montana. In the winter months the golf course converts into a 15 kilometer Nordic course. The course is double tracked, groomed and lighted for night skiing and is accessible right off the Fairway Deck. This rustic yet elegant lodge offers comfort and excitement, service and satisfaction. The rooms and lofts are expansive enough for families and affordable for all. The conference and banquet facilities can accommodate groups easily and efficiently. There is even a gift shop stocked with all the necessities. You will always find plenty to do here. Relax in the saunas, spas or indoor pool. Tennis, volleyball and horseshoes are also available. Our Concierge can arrange alternate activities including ice skating, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, bonfire, wine and cheese parties and skiing during the winter. Scheduled winter shuttle service is available to transport you to Big Mountain ski area. In the summer enjoy the scenery in the park, swimming, boating or sailing on one of the many area lakes, white water rafting, or go on a chair lift ride to the top of Big Mountain. Enjoy golf on the 36-hole Whitefish Lake Golf Course, just outside our door or try a round at any of the 9 other courses located within a 35 mile radius of the lodge. Take a tour of Glacier National Park, a fishing trip or a boating excursion. Nothing has been spared to make Grouse Mountain Lodge as magnificent as the country around it. In honor of our 20th anniversary this summer, we have just completed the remodeling of our 145 guest rooms, lobby and conferences rooms, all carefully to deliver the 'Quintessential Montana Experience' .US Highways 2 and 93 provide easy access via car. We are 2 1/2 hours north of Missoula, 4 hours east of Spokane, 1 hour south of the Canadian border and 5 1/2 hours south of Calgary.
