Norris Campground is located within the Norris Geyser Basin thermal area in the central portion of Yellowstone National Park at an elevation of 7,500 feet. Restrooms and water are provided, and there are 116 designated campsites to choose from. A visitor center and campfire talks are available. Access to hiking trails can be found throughout the area. Fishing is also among the many activities to enjoy at Norris Campground.
Pets are welcome but must be leashed. They are prohibited on trails in the backcountry and in hydro-thermal areas. Pets are not allowed more then 100 feet from a road or parking area. Leaving a pet unattended and/or tied to an object is prohibited.
The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 45 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days between June 15 and September 15 and 30 days the rest of the year. You will be required to pay a small daily fee for the use of this campground. Checkout time for all campgrounds is 10:00am.
Directions: Norris Campground is located 1 mile north of Norris Junction.
