The Stoney Lonesome Ranch is a working ranch as well as a camping cowboy ranch. The camp is on private land, the scenery is fantastic, the tents are in the mountains and the horseback riding never rides the same place twice. Cool spring water, cowboy food, hiking, music to sing by, clear blue skies, clean air, and good living. The tents have cots with mattresses and solar showers are available. See wild animals and hear coyotes.
We offer fall hunting in cowboy country for elk, deer and antelope on forest and private lands. Full guide service - top notch hunting in prime vast country. Good food, good horses, a Montana hunting experience to be remembered, hunt fall time and camp and ride horses, raft, hike and or stay in cabins in the summer. We are a working ranch, not fancy but just plain cowboy living.
Directions: The Stoney Lonesome Ranch is 15 miles up Bridger Creek off of I-90. Exit 384 or 20 miles from Absarokee-turn at the IGA - up the Stillwater Road for 8 miles, turn right, cross Stillwater river - next turn left - then a right - stay left until you see Stoney Lonesome sign -- Welcome!!
