The Livingston Depot Center opened in 1987. The museum is located in a 1902 Northern Pacific Railway station which has been renovated and now houses railroad and western history exhibits and art shows.
This summer at the Livingston Depot Center:
Rails Across the Rockies, 100 Years of Dude Ranching and the Hospitable Spirit: Monday - Saturday 9a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday 1p.m. - 5p.m.
Farmer's Market: Every Wednesday, May - September in the Depot Colonnade, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. featuring vendors of flowers and produce, musicians and performers
Art train: The nation's only art museum traveling by train, carrying thirty diverse art works from the collection of the Smithsonian Institution. Three gallery cars are dedicated to an introduction to art, printmaking and the commission process.
Depot Center Festival of the Arts: The Depot Center's annual art festival featuring more than forty juried artist and their works. The festival also features reduced-scale train providing rides for small children around the depot building and the Depot's annual pie sale.
Directions: Depot Center is located at 200 West Park Street (Highway 89) in downtown Livingston. Take any Livingston exit off I-90. The Depot Center is located between the two traffic lights in town -- Impossible to miss!
