The Sheridan County Museum was completed in 1968 to capture and preserve some of the historical flavor. fashions and fixtures of Sheridan County's early days. And in conjunction with the Sheridan County Agriculture Museum and Civic Center completed in 1983, Sheridan County has provided a wonderful and entertaining look into the past. Visitors to the museum will also see Montana's longest interior mural and a historical monument near the museum signifying Sitting Bull's historic surrender site.
Directions: The museum is located a mile east of Plentywood on Highway 16. A newly-completed 24-hour rest area is near the museum. The nearest airport is at Plentywood, one mile from the museum
