Northwestern School is an outfitters and guides school located in western Montana. Northwestern O.G.C. School has the most comprehensive education program offered today for preparing a student in the career of becoming a big game and fishing guide with a horse and mule oriented outfitter operation. The 4 week training program offers a complete program with subjects such as: horse/mule shoeing, horse/mule packing, game stalking, trophy scoring, first-aid and CPR training, saddle and tack care and repair, outfitter equipment care and repair, fly/spin fishing, back country camping, learning game habitat, rope splicing, knots and hitches, camping and skinning of trophies, field dressing of big game animals, wildlife photography, plus much, much more for this great and exciting outdoor career. Room and board is furnished for all students enrolled in the resident training program. Northwestern O.G.C. School also offers a 30 hour home study program on VHS video. The 15 two-hour videos are the most comprehensive program ever put on video for this profession. It is a first for the industry.
