Savage Lake is a state fishing access site located in northwest Montana. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed on the lake. This is a day use area only. A relatively warm lake nestled beneath the Cabinet Mountains, it provides a comfortable experience for boating and fishing. The access point is located along the east side of the highway, about midway along the west shore of the lake.Lakeside residents tout the view of a waterfall emerging from the mountains, and a wetland edging the northeast end of the lake and part of the eastern shore affords wildlife observations of waterfowl, osprey and moose.
Directions: Savage Lake is a fishing access site located by traveling west of Libby on Highway 2, turning onto Highway 56 (Bull Lake Road). Watch for sign on left hand side of the road. Savage Lake is located about 5 miles from Troy.
