Showdown Montana is nestled high in the Little Belt Mountains of the Northern Rockies in central Montana. There is 1,400 vertical feet of forest-lined trails, open slopes and glades for skiers of every ability. The tip of the mountain commands a spectacular view, stretching from the Sweet Grass Hills over 150 miles to the north and the Paradise Mountains over 100 miles to the south.
This ski area has all of the essentials at the base of the mountain, from breakfast and lunch, to the Hole-In-The Wall Saloon. The Rental Shop area offers quick and efficient service, with equipment fitted to satisfy every skier's ability and dimension. Our rental shop offers ski packages; snowboards, snowblades, snowrunners and snowbikes. The Showdown Pro Shop features skis, demo skis, accessories and professional repair and maintenance service.
We hold lessons each day at 10:30am and 1:30pm. We are so confident in our talented teaching staff that we guarantee you will be skiing the beginner slopes after your first one hour lesson. Lessons are available for every level of skier. Kids 4 to 6 will love our Snow Monsters program!
Additional activities in the area include snowmobiling, unlimited cross-country and ski touring on nearby trails, some groomed, sledding, tobogganing and tubing. Telemark skiing is also enjoyed at Showdown.
Lifts: Two surface, one triple chair and one double chair.
Directions: Showdown Montana is located 10 minutes south of Neihart, I hour southeast of Great Falls on US Highway 89, or 30 minutes north of White Sulphur Springs.
