Haymaker Canyon Trail (602) is the eastern most trail in the Little Belts drops down Haymaker Canyon, the longest canyon on Musselshell District, through Haymaker Narrows with 200 feet cliffs on either side, crossing the creek 4 or 5 times. Narrows should be avoided during heavy thunderstorms as water can rise quickly. In the lower reaches of canyon, the creek is intermittent most years. Due to livestock grazing, any water should be boiled/treated before use. The lower 3 miles follow a primitive road. Directions: Travel 32 miles west of Harlowton on Highway 12, then 14 miles north on Spring Creek Road 274 to Willow Park Road 189, then 10 miles east on Road 189 to Haymaker Park Trail 604, then 0.5 mile to the trailhead in the northeast coner of Haymaker Park.
