The start of the trail in Mill Creek is the start of the Deep Creek Figure 8 Loop National Recreation Trail. Deep Creek Trail (303) can be used to access the Smith River and for fishing in the North Fork of Deep Creek. Use of the upper 6.1 miles by horses and motorized vehicles is heavy. The lower 2.7 miles is in the bottom of the creek and not maintained.
