Quartz Lakes Loop Trail crosses Bowman Creek and ascends gradually along the shore of Bowman Lake. The trail then climbs the Cerulean Ridge and drops into the Quartz Creek Valley at Quartz Lake, then turns southwest for three miles along the valley before once again climbing back over the ridge to the starting point. Directions: The Quartz Ridge Trail departs from the southeast corner of Bowman Campground, near the back country parking area. Follow Glacier Route 7 north to junction with Bowman Lake Road, just north of Polebridge. Take Bowman Lake Road (a narrow, graded gravel road) to Bowman Campground.
