Whitetail Cabin is located in Custer National Forest. It is a historical cabin that the Forest Service rents out for $30 per night. The cabin is equipped with two bunkbeds, so it sleeps four people. There is a maximum stay of four days. Horse pasture and corral available. No drinking water. Electricity, cook stove, some cooking utensils, wood stove for heat and firewood are all provided. The cabin does not have running water so don't forget to bring your own water. Depending on the road condition and type of vehicle, may have to hike up to 100 yards to cabin. Directions: Whitetail Cabin is located approximately 15 miles northeast of Ashland. Take Highway 212 East out of Ashland, approximately 5 miles. Turn north onto the East Fork of Otter Creek Road (gravel) for approximately 12 miles. The cabin gate is on the east side of the road with the cabin visible just at the edge of the pines.
