Two person capacity; cost $20. From the lookout you can see spectacular views of the Thompson River drainage. The lookout building is rustic. It was constructed in 1927 and is eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Steep four-mile climb via trail to lookout. Access trail is not open to motorized vehicles. No heat source. Weather extremes probable. Inaccessible due to snow, generally from mid-November through mid-June.
Directions: Priscilla Peak Lookout is located 10 miles northeast of Thompson Falls, Montana. From State Highway 200, approximately 5 miles east of Thompson Falls, Montana, turn north on the Thompson River Road, County Road 556. The trailhead for Trail 433, which leads to Priscilla Peak, is on the left side of the road, approximately three miles after the road crosses the bridge over the west fork of the Thompson River. This is about 11 miles from Highway 200.
