At Great Divide Wildlands Institute, tours are offered on lands administered by the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, Bureau of Land Management, and on private land. Customized tours are available to pan for gold, view scenery, for outdoor photography, and other options. Standard Lewis & Clark tours include a one day trip from Beaverhead Rock to the Continental Divide. Also, a two day trip through the Salmon River area to Traveler's Rest near Lolo, Montana and back to Dillon via the route Clark and Sacagawea took on the return trip. In addition, there is a two day horseback ride from the camp Clark and Sacagawea made upon leaving Montana's Big Hole Valley to where they reached Camp Fortunate.
Directions: Great Divide Wildlands Institute is located two miles north of Dillon on Cosgrove Lane. We will pick up guests at local motels or meet them at airports in Butte or Bozeman.
