Occasional westerly frontal systems produce winds of 15 to 20 K by late afternoon. The water is clear and clean, and the views are spectacular. The evening thermals entice sailors from Lakeside, Fish Hatchery, and Somers Bay on the northwest shore. The west shoreline and islands provide the best anchorages on the lake, as well as exciting sailing experiences.
