Barron Creek is located on the west side of 90-mile-long Lake Koocanusa (KOOtenai/CANada/USA--coo/can/oosa), at an elevation of 2,500 feet, approximately 28 miles northeast of Libby and 34 miles south of Canada. Set in an open meadow atmosphere, it is surrounded by National Forest and is adjacent to one of the best known kokanee salmon fisheries in the northwest. Restrooms are provided; however, there is no drinking water at the site. Pets are welcome as long as they are kept on leashes. There are 15 trailer sites. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 32 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days. Directions: From Libby, travel 13 miles northeast on Highway 37.
