Caribou Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 3600 feet. This small campground is located 3.5 miles south of the US/Canada border. Adjacent to Caribou Creek, this site offers serenity and peace to forest visitors. There are 3 campsites. Restroom facilities are available but there is no drinking water available at the campground. Fishing access adjacent to Caribou Creek, picnicking, hiking nearby on the Vinal-Mt. Henry-Boulder National Recreation Trail. Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on leashes. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 32 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days. Directions: From Troy, travel west on US Highway 2 for 7 miles. At the junction with State Highway 200, turn northeast and follow for 45 miles to the town of Yaak. The road from here turns into County Road 92, which will lead to the site (approximately 15 miles).
