The East Fork Blacktail Campground is an underdeveloped campground in a wilderness study area. The campground encompasses an area of 6,230 acres and contrains 7 camp sites. The maximum trailer length is 22 feet. Restrooms and trails are available. This is a popular area for elk hunting, fishing and wildlife viewing. Wildlife in the area include elk, deer, antelope, moose, bear and mountain goats. Access to the site is prohibited across the game range and the duration of your stay at the campground may not exceed 14 days. Directions: Travel 6 miles south of Philipsburg on Montana Highway 1. Southwest on Montana Highway 38 for 5 miles. Southeast on Forest Road 3 for 1 mile and southeast on Forest Road 9349.
