Logan's Guest Ranch is a family owned and operated working cattle ranch. With us you will get a taste of what ranch life is really like in rural Montana. In the winter months our cows are fed. In early February and March the baby calves are born. We always hope Mother Nature will bless us with good weather, but not always. It can be very cold. Lots of snow makes for great snowmobiling and skiing. With April and May comes branding the calves and sorting cattle to get ready for trailing to summer pasture, along with fixing fence and irrigating. June and July are rodeo months with cattle being moved to different pasture and harvesting the hay for the following winter. August brings more rodeos and is also the time to go to the hills and do a little hiking and fishing. September and October are busy months with the cattle. October and November is time to trail the cows home from summer pasture. It is also hunting season and the mule and whitetail deer are in abundance. So, your days can be spent horseback riding, hiking, and helping with ranch chores or fishing beautiful Cottonwood Creek, which is right out our back door. This is a photographers paradise at any time of the year. Three square meals served family style are an important part of every day.
Directions: Logan's Guest Ranch lies in the scenic Shields Valley at the foot of the beautiful Crazy Mountains, in south central Montana. We are located 6 miles from Clyde Park, just 20 miles from Livingston and 50 miles from Bozeman.
