Mountain lakes are an option as well, located in scenic alpine areas where you can catch brook trout and cutthroat. A package can be fishing several different locations while staying at the Lodge; we offer excellent family opportunities. Big Game Hunts: Elk and mule deer are our primary fall hunts. We hunt both archery and rifle seasons. Past success has been excellent on both species, ranging from 80 to 100 percent. We have hunts on both private property and Forest permits; location is the key to success. Bull elk 5x5 points or better are the target, and all deer must be 4x4 or better to be harvested. Depending on the location and style of hunt you prefer, we offer horseback hunts, hunts where we pack you in on horses and you hunt on foot, or a small ranch where we use 4x4's and occasionally 4 wheelers. We custom fit a hunt that is just right for you. Moose, sheep, antelope, and mountain goats are on a permit drawing basis and if you draw a tag in any of our areas, we can assist you in your successful trip. Spring black bears cure the cabin fever from the long winter and when the bears come out, we are ready for them. These hunts take place from mid April to June, all hunts are fair chase spot and stalk, no bait or dogs are allowed in Montana. This very enjoyable time of year, viewing all the addition wildlife, the mountains are still capped with snow and the meadows are a beautiful green. Wildlife viewing and photography trips are available to various parts near the Continental Divide, where you can see mountain goats, bighorn sheep, moose, elk, mule and whitetail deer, occasional black bear, eagles, and grouse as well as many varieties of small animals. We offer meeting and business facilities as well as hosting reunions, picnics and receptions and retreats. Join us for an enjoyable Montana vacation.
