At Sun Tours, you can join us on one of our daily tours for a very memorable experience when visiting Glacier National Park. You will learn some valuable insights and cultural past to this incredibly beautiful land known to the Blackfeet people as the 'Backbone of the World'.
We provide a Blackfeet perspective tour through Glacier National Park over Going-To-The-Sun road. The tour narrative concentrates on Glacier's natural features relevant to the Blackfeet Nation, past and present. Spiritual and philosophical perspectives are interpreted in Blackfeet life in the buffalo days as well as modern times, commonly used plants and roots for nutrition and medicine are pointed out. Our guides are life residents of the reservation and enrolled members of the Blackfeet Tribe, knowledgeable in many facets of tribal history and culture.
Our tours depart daily from East Glacier Park, Browning and St. Mary. From East Glacier over Highway 49 (Pikuni Scenic Highway) we drive the entire length of Going-To-The-Sun road turning around at Lake McDonald (Sacred Dancing Water) for a lunch stop and back to the starting point. We stop along the way at several locations for photos and to point out highlights such as, Inside Lakes, Three Rivers Divide, Kootenai Licks and Kootenai Pass, etc. including a stop at the Visitor Center on Logan Pass. Walks are included to Sun Rift Gorge .05 mile and the .5 mile trail of the Cedars along Avalanche Creek.

Directions: Sun Tours is located in the town of East Glacier Park right on Highway 2 across from the Amtrak Depot in the center of town. We have daily service for East Glacier, St. Mary and Browning areas. In July and August from the West Glacier area, call 800-786-9220 for times and prices.
