Cut Bank Campground is located on the east side of Glacier National Park in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 5,500 feet the campground encompasses 2 acres and is situated in a scenic location on a flat bench near a large meadow. A trail that leads to the center of the park is available.The campground is primitive with 19 tent and trailer sites available. Water and restrooms are provided. Avid backpackers will be able to find backcountry trails near the campground. The access road is unimproved and large trailers are not recommended. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 22 feet. Primitive camping is allowed until closed by snow. Please limit your stay to 7 days. You will be asked to pay a small fee for the use of this campground.
Directions: Travel 15 miles south of St. Mary on US Highway 89, then 5 miles west on Primitive Road.
